Norfolk County Council proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (the “Order”) (NTRO11004) affecting the A140 Holt Road from 160 metres northwest of its junction with Amsterdam Way/Middletons Lane to 330 metres northwest of its junction with Buck Courtney Crescent (“Road A”) and A140 Holt Road from 330 metres northwest of its junction with Buck Courtney Crescent for 70 metres north-westwards (“Road B”) in the Parish of Hellesdon to facilitate installation of a shared use path (Yellow Pedalway Extension), the Road A and the Road B will be temporarily subject to a 30 miles per hour speed restriction for the duration of the works/period the restriction is necessary which is anticipated to be from 13th April to 17th July 2026, but may continue to be restricted until the 12th October 2027 where the closure/restriction is still required beyond the anticipated dates.

Vehicular access will be permitted to a final destination in the Roads A-B where signs indicating such access is possible and permitted are in place.
If necessary, the restriction could run for a maximum period of 18 months from the date the Order is effective.
A person who contravenes, or who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in contravention of the restriction imposed by the Order shall be guilty of an offence.
Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.
In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance.
