Community Centre Rooms
Nestled in the heart of Hellesdon, Hellesdon Community Centre has gained popularity since reopening its doors in November 2022 following extensive refurbishment. The facilities are open for private hire, accommodating regular fitness groups, community gatherings, and celebrations, all at reasonable rates. To secure a spot in any of the scheduled activities, feel free to contact the organiser directly.
In December 2023, significant upgrades were completed on the main restroom facilities, resulting in an increased number of toilets for both ladies and gents. Additionally, baby changing units were added to both to enhance inclusivity. The accessible toilet has been relocated which is now positioned between the ladies and gents washroom facilities.
Whether you’re organising a meeting, hosting an event, commemorating a special occasion, or conducting exercise classes, our versatile spaces offer an ideal setting. A fully equipped kitchenette is also available for hire, suitable for preparing meals or simply making refreshments.
Our operating hours are from 8 am to 11 pm, Monday to Saturday, with the option to extend until 12 am for an additional fixed charge, we are now open on Sundays from 8.30 am to 3 pm. Enjoy WIFI access throughout the Community Centre, and benefit from PA systems in the Marjorie Lewis and Sylvia Watling rooms, along with Bluetooth technology for streaming music from phones and tablets.
Marjorie Lewis Hall
The Marjorie Lewis is a spacious hall boasting of a high ceiling and wooden flooring. The hall is perfect for family parties, exercise classes, sporting activities, craft fairs and much more. It features a bar with bottle chillers, a dishwasher and sink. We can put you in contact with our preferred supplier if you require a serviced bar for your event.
The hall can also accommodate a child’s bouncy castle, please contact us for size specifications.
The hall can comfortably accommodate a portable stage, the portable stage is available to hire for a small fee.

The Sylvia Watling room is a well-lit and airy room with doors opening into the garden. It is popular for dance and exercise classes, as well as large meetings, family parties.

Olive Hasletine
The Olive Hasletine room is a well-lit room ideal for meetings, church gatherings, small classes or parties.

Westwood Room

Kitchenette Facilites
The kitchenette is a light and airy space and can be hired for making refreshments or food preparation.
The kitchenette was installed in 2022 with lots of modern features including a dishwasher, electric hob, electric oven and fridge freezer.
