Council land.
3. To approve minutes of the committee meeting held on 13 January 2026.
The minutes of 13 January 2026 had previously been circulated and the committee
RESOLVED to agree these as a true and accurate record of the meeting.
4. Public Participation
Members of the public spoke in opposition to application number 2026/0127. Concerns were
raised about the risk to health, especially the potentially high level of background radiation.
The mast was considered to be ugly and would spoil the landscape aesthetics. Parishioners
also wondered why, given the number of masts already in Hellesdon, whether this location
was required. Smaller, less obtrusive masts have been placed on taller buildings in Norwich
and maybe this type could be used in Hellesdon too. The location of the mast was felt to be
too near to residential buildings and the proposed extension to the Community Centre that
had already received planning permission.
5. Planning Outcomes
Updated Information on recent decisions made on planning applications, these are circulated
to all members of the committee and noted at the meeting.
