5.1 - Planning applications
20151099 – Frenbury Estate Hellesdon Park Road. 1.8 m High Boundary Fence.
20150795 – 164 Hellesdon Park Road. Installation of 3 No. Windows to Front
Elevation to Match Existing.
20151122 – 28 Mountfield Avenue. Single Storey Extension at Rear of Existing
Garage.
20151079 – 171 Middletons Lane. Single Storey Rear Extension & First Floor Side
Extension.
20151050 – McDonald’s Restaurant Boundary Road. 1. Alterations to Existing Drive
Thru including New Signage Island, Kerb Re-Configuration & Associated Works 2.
Alteration & Extension to Order Booth & Installation of Height Restrictor Posts.
Y/5/2015/5007 – Heather Avenue First School. Erection of Detached Classroom with
Covered Deck Area and External Lighting
RESOLVED to support the above applications.

 20151127 – 5a Blackberry Court Sweetbriar Retail Park. Variation of Condition 2 of
Planning Permission 911769 – To remove the restriction on the retail goods to be sold.
RESOLVED to agree in principle to the proposals but the committee would like future
applications of this type to provide more information.
20151084 – Hawthorne Meadow Trust - Chapel Court. Erection of 3 No. Residential
Dwellings – Revised Proposal.
RESOLVED to object to the application as the proposals would create car parking
problems with nearby residents and users of Meadow Way Chapel. In addition, there
would also be a conflict of access for chapel users and residents of the proposed
dwellings.

6. Exchange of Information

Cllr Britton advised that he attended an exhibition of the proposed Briar Solar Project
which was held at Hellesdon Barns Garden Centre on 22 July 2015. The project
includes installation of 6080 PV panels and work has to be finished by March 2016
otherwise the government subsidy would be lost. The project will generate sufficient
power for 530 homes. The project will use land around the Briar Chemical site and the
old sports ground off Hellesdon Road.
Cllr Buck advised he would be attending a meeting at Broadland District Council with
other District Councillors to discuss the proposals for the Royal Norwich Golf Course
development.

7. Date, time and venue of next meeting

It was agreed the next meeting would be held in The Council Chamber,
Diamond Jubilee Lodge on Tuesday 18 August 2015 commencing at 6.30pm.
