Minutes of the meeting of the Planning Committee held on Tuesday 24 May 2016

Cllr Britton opened the meeting welcomed those present and invited nominations for
Chairman.

1. Election of Chairman

Cllr Britton was nominated and was happy to hold this position.
RESOLVED Mr Greg Britton holds the position of Chairman.

2. Election of Vice Chairman

Cllr King was nominated and was happy fo hold this position.
RESOLVED Mr D King holds the position of Vice Chairman.

3. Absence and Apologies for absence

Cllr Buck — apologies received and accepted.
Clir Wright — no apologies received.

4, Declarations of Interests and Dispensations

None declared.

5. Election of representative to the Finance & Operations Working Group

Cllr Buck was nominated in his absence.
RESOLVED Mr Danny Buck is planning representative for the Finance & Operations
Working Group.

The draft document was considered. It was agreed to
RECOMMEND to full council approval of the document.

Approval of Minutes of meeting held 3 May 2016

The minutes having previously been circulated, were approved and signed by Clir Britton as
a true record.

Public Participation

Cllr Gurney explained the reason of receipt of application 20160750. This application is to
mitigate the non-provision of formal recreation land the subject of application 20151770. A
site visit has been undertaken and it was the view that insufficient information has been
presented in this application in order to address environmental issues the subject of this
land. It was considered this land would have remained as is, if it had not been for the
developer's desire to build maximum density housing on the golf course site.
Members were urged not to support as it is deemed a constructive and informed decision
cannot be made without relevant environmental impact statements. The main application
was supported by such so why not this application.

landscape, with no environmental assessment to indicate otherwise
