Minutes of the meeting of the Planning Committee held on
Tuesday 1 May 2018 at 6.15pm in
The Council Chamber, Diamond Jubilee Lodge, Hellesdon

The Chairman welcomed Councillors and opened the meeting at 6.15p.m.
1. Apologies and acceptance for absence
Apologies were received and accepted from Cllr Britton
2. Declarations of Interest and Dispensations
None recorded.
3. Approval of minutes of the committee meeting held on 17 April 2018
Minutes as previously circulated, were proposed, confirmed and signed.
4. Public Participation
Mrs Sue Prutton spoke regarding the proposed name change of The Bull Public
House to The Chestnut Tree. She requested that the committee not challenge
the name change as this would revitalize the public house and give local people
somewhere to go.
5. General Matters
The meeting considered the following applications:
20180571 – Single Storey Rear Extension – 22 City View Road, NR6 5HP – Mr & Mrs

20180601 – Loft conversion with front dormer and single storey rear extension, Mr Shane

20180596 – Display of 5 No. Non Illuminated signs and 3 No. Illuminated signs – The Bull,
197 Reepham Rd, NR6 5QA – Enterprise Inns - RESOLVED TO SUPPORT SUBJECT TO
NO ROAD FACING SIGNS BEING ILLUMINATED BY ENTRY POINTS.

Cllr King – advised the committee on a Planning training course on Tuesday 8 th
May at 4pm which Cllr Sear might like to attend.
