Nominees will be invited to the Hellesdon Community Heart Awards ceremony, taking place on Saturday 1st February 2025, at Hellesdon Community Centre.
This special event will honour and celebrate the outstanding achievements of individuals and groups who have made a significant impact in the community. The ceremony will provide an opportunity for nominees to be recognised for their contributions, enjoy an evening of celebration, and connecting with fellow community members. We look forward to celebrating their achievements and the positive difference they have made in your community.
Community Volunteer Award – Sponsored by Mervins Local
This award recognises individuals who have made a significant impact to their community by volunteering within a group, charity, or organisation.
Young Person’s Achievement Award – Sponsored by It’s My Party
This award recognises young people (aged 18 or under) who make remarkable and inspiring achievements in support of their community and who act as a role model for their peers.
Helping Hands Award – Sponsored by Cards N Things
This award recognises individuals not in association with a group, charity, or organisation, who help to create stronger communities by supporting others to live happy, healthy lives. This could be a good friend, neighbour, someone who gives that extra mile to help and support others.
Community Groups Award – Sponsored by Bodyworks Hair and Beauty Studio
This award recognises individuals or community groups that has made a significant contribution to the residents of Hellesdon.
Cleaner and Greener Award – Sponsored by The Bull
This award recognises individuals, projects, and groups that have made great strides towards addressing climate change and environmental issues.
Young Carer Award – Sponsored by Chun Hing Chinese
This award recognises a young person who has demonstrated exceptional support for other. The award is available to young people from all backgrounds who have shown support for their peers, friends or relatives that has helped them to cope with illness or disability for someone they care about.
Local Business Award – Sponsored by ATP Fitness
This award recognises local businesses who are making a significant contribution to the local community, Delivers outstanding service to their customers.
Unsung Hero Award – Sponsored by Premier AB News
This award is for the person who makes a real difference but rarely gets recognition. They might be found in a role or sphere of local life. They might be a carer volunteer or relative. We would like to hear what makes them special and what difference they make to the lives of those they support. This person is selfless, is dedicated, gives of themselves either regularly or perhaps there has been one heroic act.
