51126 Hellesdon Park Road and 51223 Alston Road, Hellesdon – Carriageway Resurfacing Works
Work is due to start on Monday, 24 August 2026, to resurface the 51126 Hellesdon Park Road and the 51223 Alston Road in the Hellesdon Hall Industrial Estate. The work is expected to be completed by Saturday, 29 August 2026, subject to favourable weather conditions.
To ensure the works are carried out safely and swiftly, overnight road closures will be in place from 19:00 to 05:00 on the following dates:
– Monday 24 August 2026
– Tuesday 25 August 2026
– Wednesday 26 August 2026
– Thursday 27 August 2026
– Friday 28 August 2026
The works have been scheduled overnight to minimise disruption and will be carried out in phases over the course of the week. Works will begin on Alston Road and progress along Hellesdon Park Road towards Drayton High Road.
Alston Road will be inaccessible during the works. Access to side roads will vary throughout the week depending on the stage of completion. Access to The Frenbury Estate will not be affected.
Hellesdon Park Road and Alston Road will be open to traffic outside of working hours. Please refer to on-site signage for the most-up-to-date information.
Temporary parking restrictions will be in place along Hellesdon Park Road and Alston Road throughout the week. The County Council kindly requests that these restrictions are observed to help avoid delays.
The work is expected to cost approximately £220,000 and will be carried out by Norfolk County Council’s Infrastructure Department and Kier Highway Services. The County Council thanks the public for their patience while this essential road maintenance work is carried out.
